Facebook’s global population now exceeds 650 million, according to AllFacebook.com, which here published an infographic from the Web traffic measurers at Pingdom. It indicates that FB’s population now exceeds the number of native English speakers in the world as well as the entire world population of the 17th century, among other things. It hasn’t yet caught up to today’s population of Europe (475 million), but the populations of North and South America (at 344 million and 396 million, respectively) are now way behind Facebook’s. Meanwhile, Facebook’s business growth has exceeded expectations. Reuters reports that it’s “growing faster than forecast several months ago,” with earnings “on track to top $2 billion before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization” this year.
